"Yeah?" Logan laughed, stretching out on his back again, joint still in hand. "I can't picture that man. You guys fighting... seems weird. Didn't you used to be close?"

"Yeah. We were then, when we were fighting," Joe explained. "I was detoxing and flipped my shit at him. Y'know why he stopped coming around? Stopped talking to me? He told me once. Said it was because he thought I'd wanna kick his ass for what happened with you."

Which he sort of had, but it bothered him that Cutter had given up so easily.

The stab of guilt that spiked through him was enough to make Logan look away. He didn't like the idea that he'd fucked things up for Cutter and Joe. That he'd ruined their friendship with his stupid crush. Still, instead of offering an apology, Logan was instantly on the defense.

"I dunno why he'd think that, I don't need protecting or you looking out for my damn virtue."

He knew he was being unfair though, and after a moment he sighed. "It shouldn't even be an issue now, me and Cutter are fine. He's like the older brother I never wanted. ...Well, an older brother that I've been known to have sex dreams about anyway."

Taking another hit, he rolled onto his side and looked over at Joe. "You ever do that? Dream about people who weren't Dale or whatever? It's weird, man... and it's never the sort of people you want to think about getting naked and sweaty with. Hell, I once had one about Jack, and I hate that guy."

"Yeah, I don't know why the fuck he'd think that. I mean, sure, it pissed me off that whole thing, but you're fucking capable of taking care of yourself, you're not a fucking kid," Joe said with a shrug. "Mostly it pissed me off that he just fucking gave up. Didn't bother saying a damn thing about it."

A moment later, he smirked over at Logan and nodded. "Of course, man. You stop having dreams about other people, I figure something's wrong."

"You should talk to him," Logan said simply, taking another long pull off the joint and quirking a brow at Joe's answer to his other question.

"So... who?" he asked, not caring if he was crossing some father/son line. It was Joe, and the rules had always been different with Joe.

That and he was more than a little buzzed. Drus always seemed to make him ask more questions and to give up information he'd usually keep guarded.

Joe snorted, looking amused as he glanced over at Logan. "You want all my dirty little secrets, man?" he asked, but he was shrugging, thinking about it.

"Used to be Leoben. That Beth chick, even though I think she's a dyke," he said. "Had one once about Eostre, which was so fucking weird."

"Eostre's hot," Logan said, letting out a cloud of smoke. "Like... Hot teacher hot. I bet she's intense in bed."

Joe snorted and said, "She's got kids now, you're not supposed to think that anymore." Not that it stopped Joe himself from thinking it all the damn time.

"Just makes her hotter," Logan replied, finishing off the joint and stubbing it out. "I like the mothering thing... I'm sure a shrink would have a field day with that, but it's the truth."

He paused for a moment, and then smirked. "What's Dale like in bed?"

Joe laughed harder at that and looked over at Logan, eyebrows lifted. "What's Dale like in bed..." he repeated, still looking kind of amused by the whole thing.

"He'd fucked around for guys before, y'know, but never actually fucked one," he explained. "But even without the experience, pretty fucking good."

"So, you were his first," Logan said, looking a little impressed.

Joe nodded, smirking a little, looking pleased with himself. "Yeah, pretty much," he agreed, stretching out, his hands pillowed behind his head.

Logan was quiet for a while after that, content to close his eyes and ride out the high.

The temptation had been there, the joint in Logan's hand, but Joe had managed to ignore it for the most part and a small part of him, something he'd never admit to, was just the slightest bit proud. Something to tell Dale, anyway.

"This reminds me of when me and Duncan used to go camping," Logan said after a moment.

"Except I'm better company, right?" Joe asked with a small smirk, shifting his head in his hands so that he could look over at Logan. "Where'd you guys go camping?"

"Where ever his dad would take us," Logan shrugged. "Sometimes we'd go out to their cabin in Virginia."

"Kinda wish there was some place like that here," Joe admitted. "Some cabin in the middle of the fucking jungle or something, somewhere to just go to, to escape."

"We should do that," Logan said, obviously still stoned. "We should just... build a fucking cabin. In the middle of nowhere. How awesome would that be, man?"

"Pretty fucking awesome," Joe agreed, although he wasn't sure either of them could build a cabin without some help. "Yeah, we should do that, we should find a place and just build."

"We should make Cutter help," Logan said firmly. "Make him see that we can all be okay."

"All be okay, like a big happy family?" Joe asked with a laugh. He doubted Cutter had any interest in being okay with Joe.

"I'm gonna ask him to do it," Logan said simply, making it clear that his mind was made up about it.

"Okay, man, whatever you want," Joe said, still looking amused. "Bet he won't be interested. Last time I tried to talk to him about it, he actually fucking ran away."

"He ran away?" Logan asked with a laugh. "Are you serious?"
