Vampire AU Prequel

Logan didn't do bars, not often any way. Too many people, too much going on... too many girls sniffing for money rather than love. Usually he hated it, but tonight...

Tonight he just needed to get out, to have a few drinks and enjoy the city of LA for what it was. Mindless, soulless, and empty. Really, the more he dwelled on it the more Logan was sure those were exactly the sort of qualities he'd been looking for in home, and he grinned as he polished off his drink and left enough cash on the bar for tip and his tab.

Ignoring the many writhing and twisting bodies on the dance floor, Logan made his way to the exit, ready to head home for the night. Passing the pool table, he pushed open the door and stepped into the night. The streets were busy, but he didn't mind, he'd cut through the alleyway and take a shortcut home.

The lamp light flickered as he stepped into the darkened ally, blinking out just as he headed into the shadows. It was alright though, he wasn't scared, he wasn't some sweet sixteen princess with her virtue to worry about... Logan was tough. He was eighteen now, and he had no fear.

"Both, either, whichever," Logan laughed breathlessly, leaning into the touch.

Joe laughed as well, then pulled back completely and tucked himself back into his pants. "Let's go find a new bathroom, then," he said and he was only half joking.

Logan cleaned himself up a little and pulled his pants back up with a grin. "Or we could just do it out there, against the bar... think they'd kick us out?" he joked.

"Fuck, man, this place?" Joe asked with a laugh. "They might not." They probably would eventually, but it might take them awhile to really go through with it.

He wasn't done, though, not yet, and he tugged Logan to him again, kissing him hard.

Logan was startled by the kiss, but he didn't pull back, not even a little. Instead he gave it his all, growling into the kiss and cupping Joe's face with his hands.

Although he'd never admit it out loud, Joe loved the feel of someone's hands on his face, it felt like he was being directed and pushed around, and he groaned into the kiss, his arms snaking around Logan's body.

Logan deepened the kiss and then abruptly pulled back with a smirk, smacking Joe's cheek playfully, but hard enough to sting. "Come on, let's get out of this fucking stall, man."

Joe flinched when Logan smacked him, but he laughed and nodded, then yanked the stall door open and held it for Logan to leave. "You wanna try up against the bar?" he asked, smirking a little.

"What? No!" Logan laughed. "I was just joking, man."

"Not nice, man," Joe answered with a laugh, tugging Logan out toward the door. "Get me all fucking excited and then take it away."

"Well, I am a bastard, but you knew that already," Logan grinned, letting Joe pull him along and flashing his teeth.

"Yeah, yeah, no wonder I fucking like you," Joe answered, snorting with laughter before he slung his arm over his shoulders again, keeping him close.

"Oh, I can think of a thousand better reasons to like me," Logan assured Joe, slipping his hand into the other man's back pocket.

"Yeah? Start naming them," Joe said with a grin and although he was aware of some of them, he wanted to hear what Logan thought were good reasons to like him.

"Well, I'm good looking... Clean... And I fuck you when you want me to," Logan laughed. "Actually, that last one is reason enough to adore me, man."

Joe laughed, but he also noticeably didn't argue, nodding a little. "Hey, man, you're not gonna hear any complaints from me about that kind of shit."

"Good to know, man. Good to know," Logan grinned, pulling away and ducking into the crowd.

It was all a game to him now. Death, life. And he deliberately got himself lost in the mass of people, wondering if Joe could find him... even if he slipped outside.

"The fuck are you doing?" Joe called after him, shaking his head a little before he went to the bar and got a drink for himself, then leaned against a nearby chair and waited. He scanned the building, waiting to feel where he thought Logan might be.

A moment later he pushed off the bar and began to wind through the crowd, looking for him.

Logan made a point of brushing up against as many people as he could, leaving his sent as a little trail before heading outside into the dark of the night. He grinned to himself when he spotted Marc, flashing him a toothy grin before ducking into the ally beside the club and waiting for Joe to find him.

There were a few older vamps hanging around, one or two of them eying him with interest, but Logan ignored them. Much to their annoyance.

It took Joe awhile to realize that Logan had gone outside, but eventually he found his way to the door, following the scent Logan had left behind. Once he got to the door, he left his drink on a nearby table and then pushed the door open and wandered out into the night.

Logan leaned back against the wall, waiting in silence for Joe to come after him. He could almost smell him now, but maybe that was just his imagination.

For a moment Joe just stood where he was and then turned to his left, heading toward the alley that ran alongside the building they'd been in.

"You done running away?" he asked when he saw Logan with a bit of a grin.

"Maybe," Logan smirked, taking a step away from the wall and moving away from Joe. "Thought maybe we could... revisit the past a little."

"You wanna fuck in an alley?" Joe asked, glancing around and some of the others who were milling in the area. He wasn't looking forward to fucking around anywhere near them, if he was honest.

"Maybe..." Logan shrugged, grinning a little.
