Vampire AU Prequel

Logan didn't do bars, not often any way. Too many people, too much going on... too many girls sniffing for money rather than love. Usually he hated it, but tonight...

Tonight he just needed to get out, to have a few drinks and enjoy the city of LA for what it was. Mindless, soulless, and empty. Really, the more he dwelled on it the more Logan was sure those were exactly the sort of qualities he'd been looking for in home, and he grinned as he polished off his drink and left enough cash on the bar for tip and his tab.

Ignoring the many writhing and twisting bodies on the dance floor, Logan made his way to the exit, ready to head home for the night. Passing the pool table, he pushed open the door and stepped into the night. The streets were busy, but he didn't mind, he'd cut through the alleyway and take a shortcut home.

The lamp light flickered as he stepped into the darkened ally, blinking out just as he headed into the shadows. It was alright though, he wasn't scared, he wasn't some sweet sixteen princess with her virtue to worry about... Logan was tough. He was eighteen now, and he had no fear.

"You should see the shit he can do with his mouth," Joe answered, shaking his head as if he'd never seen or felt such a thing. "Fuck, man, sometimes it's like he doesn't even have to breathe."

If that wasn't enough to get the guy hooked, Joe figured he'd just kill him here and steal the two hundred bucks.

"It's a talent," Logan said brightly, flashing the man a smirk and shrugging.

The guy looked at Logan briefly, then back at Joe with a nod. "Alright," he said simply.

"Well, that was easy," Joe said with a soft snort of laughter, his arm still hooked around Logan's shoulders, his palm pressed flat against his chest. "Let's go, then."

"Where are we going?" the man asked, starting to look uneasy again, but a little more confident than before.

"Does it matter?" Logan asked him, rolling his eyes and leaning against Joe lightly as they started back towards Joe's.

"Somewhere close," Joe answered simply, letting Logan lead the way, although he didn't pull away from him. This was exciting in a strange way, leading their prey right to his death without him even suspecting a damn thing. Having him pay them for it.

"You can create some fucking interesting situations," he murmured to Logan in a low voice, smiling faintly.

Logan just grinned, leading the way as they neared Joe's place.

He was silent until they reached the door, turning to Joe and waiting for him to open the door. He didn't wait Long though, and before the other vamp even had the key out Logan was pressed up against the stranger, playing the part of the weakling as the man tugged him closer, his eyes flickering to Joe a little nervously.

It was all an act though, Logan wasn't weak, and he definitely wasn't afraid of some mortal.

Joe smirked a little, getting the door open as he watched Logan in amusement. At first it had kind of annoyed him, the way Logan had just fucking bailed and gone after some asshole, but now he found it sort of funny. They were fucking this guy over and they were doing it together.

Pushing the door open, he led the way inside, flipping on a light as he went.

The newcomer was quick to follow Joe inside, Tugging Logan along with a firm grip on the younger vamp's wrist. Logan wanted to laugh, but he managed to hold back, wondering just how far Joe was gonna let this go before they turned on the guy.

Locking the door behind them, Joe watched, looking hungry as his eyes swept over Logan first and then the stranger. "The bedroom is down the hall," he said simply, his mouth quirking into a grin when he briefly caught Logan's gaze.

Logan gave Joe a long curious look at that, and then looked a little irritated as the stranger started to tug him towards the bedroom.

"Quit it," he warned, pulling away with more strength than the man had expected. "You have to pay... at least half up front," he decided, glancing at Joe again.

The stranger just frowned and pulled out his wallet. "Fine, half up front," he agreed, looking restless as he shoved the money at Joe and took hold of Logan again. "Come on," he said simply, tugging Logan towards the bedroom again.

Taking the money, Joe watched in amusement, then followed them down the hall toward the bedroom, moving carefully as he trailed them. He was curious to see just how far Logan might let this go before he let the stranger know exactly who the hell they were.

"You pay another hundred and I'll watch," Joe offered with a grin, watching as the stranger paused and tensed briefly.

"Not my thing," The guy said, heading into the bedroom and starting to close the door behind himself and Logan.

Logan looked unconcerned, sitting on the edge of the bed with a look of forced innocence.

"He'll drop the price if you let him watch," Logan said, giving Joe a look that made it clear he should stay. He wasn't sure how far he wanted to go... but he was curious to see how far Joe could stand to watch it go on, before he lost his temper and took control.

Joe's hand shot out when the guy tried to close the door, stopping it solidly as he flashed a dangerous, feral grin. "Maybe I wasn't asking," he pointed out, stepping into the room behind them and then shutting the door.

The stranger looked nervously at Logan, as if asking him what the hell Joe was doing.

"He likes to make sure everything's on the up and up," Logan said softly, almost sweetly... even as his eyes darkened slightly. "Don't you, Joe?" he smirked, pulling off his shirt and coaxing the stranger closer.

"I'm very involved in the process," Joe agreed with a smile. The guy's attention went back to Logan as he began to strip and it gave Joe the opportunity to come up behind him, standing far too close. "It's my job," he said in a low sort of growl.

Logan grinned a little at that, watching them both closely as he waited for Joe to attack.

The man simply took a step away, suddenly looking uneasy.

It happened quickly, Joe's hand shot out and he grabbed the guy by the back of his neck, tugging him back roughly. A scream almost escaped, but Joe had broken his neck before much of a noise was out.

He rarely killed just to kill, but sometimes it felt too good to pass up.

Logan gasped a little in surprise, not having expected it to end so abruptly.

"You didn't even bite him," Logan said, eyes a little wide as he watched Joe.

"Not yet," Joe answered, holding the limp, lifeless body by the back of his neck still, a bright, dangerous grin turning up the corners of his mouth. "You can take fucking anything from him this way."

"But he's dead," Logan murmured, getting up and looking at the man's limp and lifeless body. "He wanted me... I could smell it."

"Him and half the fucking population of this city," Joe answered, tugging the man's head to the side as he leaned in and sniffed at the heat of his neck.

"I was playing with him," Logan said, watching Joe and stepping closer. "I was enjoying him," he purred, pressing up against the other vamp's side.

"Maybe he was enjoying you a little too much," Joe answered, licking the dead man's throat, tasting the salt of his skin. "Maybe I don't fucking like it."

"Bastard," Logan accused, rubbing against Joe again with a little growl.

"Yeah, I'm a fucker," Joe agreed, pushing back against Logan. He held his gaze as he ducked his head, teeth cutting into the dead man's throat.
