Jan. 25th, 2009 06:58 pmSitting on the steps outside his own hut, it was a fight just to keep calm, tense and nervous as he leaned forward and stared at the ground. Every now and then he'd take a deep breath, raking his fingers through his hair and counting softly to himself, as if it might actually keep him calm. Except it didn't. In fact, Logan was fairly sure the only thing that would calm him down would be a shot of whatever they'd finally given Jack.
He could hear them inside still, and he strained to listen, wanting to stay out of the way, but still desperate to know what was going on. All he wanted was to know Jack would be okay. That they could fix it, and he'd be fine. He'd watched the other man in his future, seen him burst back into life, but here? Here the same rules just never seemed to apply, and all he could think about was losing the other man. Really losing him. Not finding him gone, or simply watching him walk off with someone else, but lost forever.
Truly gone.
Closing his eyes tightly, he felt his body shudder as he inhaled sharply. He looked pathetic, he knew he did, but he didn't bother to hide it as he heard someone approaching. He wasn't going to pretend he wasn't afraid for the other man. He wasn't going to pretend he didn't care.
