"Me and Jen met when I came here," Joe explained. "She knew who I was. It gets easier the longer you're like this to figure out who the other vampires are."

Jennifer nodded and leaned against the bar, offering Logan a smile. "You smell like him," she said.

"Oh yeah? Guess I'll need to start wearing more cologne," Logan smirked.

"It won't help you," Jennifer replied simply, offering Logan a bright, flirtatious smile before she grabbed her drink off the bar and turned away, disappearing into the crowd.

"Well, now you've met Jen," Joe said, watching her go.

"You've slept with her," Logan said, giving Joe a look. "She's cute."

"You could sleep with her, too," Joe pointed out with a grin, his arm sliding around Logan's back, resting against the bar. "She trusts my taste for some weird fucking reason."

"What makes you think I want your left overs?" Logan teased with a smug look.

"Fuck, man, she's old enough that she's half the fucking world's leftovers," Joe said with a laugh, looking amused. "You're gonna have to stick with humans if you want fresh meat."

Logan pulled a face at that, but didn't comment. "What about you? How fresh are you, Joe?"

"Not as fresh as you, but more fresh than she is," Joe answered with a grin, taking a sip of his beer. "Fresh enough, anyway."

"What makes you think I'm fresh?" Logan smirked. "I mean, I slept with your old ass..."

Joe smirked in return and said, "You're fresh in these parts. Probably the youngest vampire in this room. Wait, definitely the youngest vampire in this room, man."

"Doesn't make me fresh, just makes me jail bate," Logan laughed.

"That, too," Joe agreed with a smirk, then nudged Logan with his arm. "C'mon, let's walk around a bit. Maybe we can find more people for you to meet."

"Alright, man, lead the way," Logan insisted.

Joe nodded and pushed off the bar, weaving into the crowd. There was a lot of people he knew there that night, a lot of strangers, too. He nodded at some people, but didn't really stop until he spotted Marc halfway across the bar and waved at him.

"Who's that?" Logan asked curiously, leaning in a little so he was up against Joe's side.

"His name's Marc, I met him when I first came here. He kinda showed me the ropes of this area," Joe explained as the guy crossed the room. He looked an awful lot like Billy, but Logan wouldn't know that, luckily.

Logan looked a little interested, if only because Joe seemed so fixated on the other man. It made him curious, and that was enough to stop him from looking around a little more.

"Hey," Marc said when he reached them and his gaze flickered briefly to Logan before it went back to Joe. "It's been a couple weeks.

Joe shrugged a little and nodded at Logan. "Been busy." He really couldn't blame that on Logan for more than the past two days, but it was easy enough to lie to Marc. Always had been.

"This is Logan," he added.

Logan glanced sideways at Joe, and then turned his attention to Marc, looking him over with mild interest. He was attractive enough, lean like himself but maybe slightly less toned. It was hard to tell really with what the other man was wearing. He could see the attraction though, and it was obvious Joe was attracted to the guy.

It made Logan strangely envious.

"Hey," he greeted, giving the guy a nod.

"Hey," Marc said in return, giving Logan a once over, obviously appraising him before he turned his attention back to Joe. "New?"

Rolling his eyes a little, Joe said, "He's right fucking here, man, you could ask him yourself."

So Marc smirked a little and looked at Logan. "You new?"

"Maybe," Logan replied, straightening a little so he was at his full hight. "What's it to you?"

"Just asking a question," Marc said with an amused laugh, looking at Joe again. There was a question there, too, something he was asking without saying it, but Joe just shrugged in response.

Logan watched the exchange, feeling a little out of the loop and annoyed that he was being treated like some child, ignored and left out of a conversation they seemed to be secretly having.

Growling low in his throat, he calmed himself and then spoke up again. "I am new. I'm Joe's," he said, perhaps with a little pride in his voice.

"Good thing to be," Marc answered, his smile softening slightly at that and Joe snorted, rolling his eyes a little. But it wasn't directed at Logan, it was directed at Marc.

"He's jealous of you now," Joe told Logan. "Always wanted to be mine."
