He had to be honest, with Joe keeping them busy, Logan had a harder time keeping track of the days. He knew, it was August- or almost August maybe- but he wasn't aware that today was his birthday. It didn't even occur to him to check and see if it was.

He and Joe were currently on the floor playing with the train set then he'd been carving piece by piece over the last few months. Joe was giggling and pushing a train up the track and over the little bridge, smiling as it rolled off on it's own.

Logan was so busy watching her that he didn't even notice Jack come in.

Hanging limp in his bonds, Logan couldn't find his voice to speak. He could hardly find the energy to keep his eyes open, if he was honest...

He couldn't remember the last time he'd come so hard.

It took him a minute to recover and then Jack slipped free and began to kiss Logan's back and shoulders as he fussed with the knots to free him.

"Are you okay?" he asked softly.

Logan nodded, but as Jack freed his arms he had to reach back and hold onto the other man to keep himself upright.

God, when had he gotten so old? Not that long ago he could have gone all night.

"It's okay. It's okay, I've got you," he said quietly. As soon as he had Logan completely free he moved him back just a bit to the rough, island-made bed they had put in the work room.

"Lay down for a minute. I...I need a minute," he said, laughing softly.

Logan fell onto the bed and pulled the other man down with him, wanting to keep him close.

"I love you," he said finally. You can have as many minutes as you want, captain."

Jack hummed softly and smiled as he squirmed to get close and comfortable. Logan felt good and Jack wanted to keep touching him, though he was spent and nearly useless. He was uncoordinated and clumsy as he pawed at his husband and searched for a kiss.

"I love you, too," he replied. "Happy birthday."

"Mmm, best gifts ever," he purred softly, returning the kisses and holding on tightly. "Thank you."

Jack was relieved that Logan was sated and happy instead of pissed off about being made to wait. Neither of them were all that patient - they didn't really need to be. And ever since Joe they had gotten to be very good at being fast. Tonight was a luxury.

"I'm not done. I need an hour to bounce back, but then we can move it into the bedroom and we can enjoy ourselves in there," Jack replied.

Logan kissed his way along the other man's jaw, then settled in.

I'll look forward to it," he assured him with a faint smile, enjoying having Jack's full attention for a change. It had been too long since it had last been all about them.

"Mmm, you wear me out in the best ways," Jack said, tipping his head to give Logan better access. He let his hands roam over his husband's bare body, just enjoying the feel of him.

"Do you really like the rings?" he asked after a long moment. "I hoped you would. That's why I saved them."

"They're perfect," Logan said honestly. "I love them. I want to keep my old one though- We should frame them or something- like when people frame medals or whatever. I dunno how they do it, with deep frames or whatever, you know what I'm talking about?" he asked.

"I could make up a shadow box for them, sure," Jack said. He was glad Logan had said it because he was trying to justify slipping his own onto the cord with the bullets and couldn't see any way that would be all right. The ring would probably break. A frame was a good idea.

"I'll do that tomorrow," he said, then he began to kiss Logan's chest, mapping it slowly with his lips.

Logan moaned softly, streatching out and raking his fingers through Jack's hair.

"We could hang it over our bed," he suggested.

Jack purred contentedly as Logan's nails raked his scalp.. The younger man could get Jack to do just about anything with that kind of attention.

"Good place for them," he agreed, finding a nipple and suckling gently.

Logan moaned and wet his lips, giving Jack's hair a gentle tug.

"Yeah, it would be," he agreed with a yawn.

"Sleepy?" Jack asked, looking up at Logan as he yawned. He was tired- drained, really, but he knew if he went to sleep any chance of a second round would be gone. He'd sleep until morning.

"No," Logan lied. "I can go all night, okay? I just need a moment."

"I'm glad you can go all night because I feel like I just got hit by a truck," Jack laughed. "When we go inside you might have to do all the work."

He smiled at that, pleased with the idea of Logan turning the tables on him. If there was anything he loved about their relationship it was that it was equal. It had taken a long time to get here, too long, but now they were in a good place. Jack had never been so happy.

Logan wasn't sure he had the energy either, but he wasn't about to admit to it. Instead he leaned in closer and kissed his way up Jack's jaw to his ear, tasting skin and letting himself unwind as he slipped an arm around the other man and held on possessively.

"I love you," he said quietly.

"I love you, too. I am so in love with you," Jack replied, basking in the warm sweetness of Logan's attention. He hummed contentedly, his hands slowly moving over Logan, keeping him close.

Logan's eyes started to slip shut, and he fought back a yawn.

"I'm not going to sleep, I just need to rest for a bit," he insisted quietly.

"Okay," he agreed, letting his own eyes fall shut as well. He loved their bed in the house, a gift from the capricious island spirits, but there was something so good about sleeping on this one. Their old bed. The sturdy one that had fostered them through the first years they were together.

Jack liked this bed. He found it very easy to fall asleep in.

Logan's hand had been firm on Jack's hip, but as he drifted off his grip loosened. It was no longer possessive- but instead content. Calm and relaxed.

Logan no longer feared waking up in an empty bed. Jack was his, and he didn't need to hold him down like some wild animal that wanted nothing more than to roam. Jack was his- Just as he was Jack's.
