If half the fun was getting there, Jack was sure they were there. The shower had been fun, the kitchen and the walk good, and now...well, he didn't have to wait anymore.

Except that he did.

His only protest was a pouty whimper as he moved away and laid down on the bed. He was promptly joined by Niner who had just come in through an open window.

The lean cat was still tiny, despite the fact that it was fully grown now, and it stomped over Jack's chest, pausing to rub against the other man's chin before making it's way to the edge of the bed to look up at Logan.

Niner made a sharp squeaking noise, demanding attention, and Logan gave her a few strokes before picking her up and placing her on the floor.

"The food bowls are full, right?" he asked Jack as he moved to lay beside him.

Jack could hear the cat continue to comment on the state of the world while walking out of the bedroom. He stretched and rolled against Logan and kissed him slowly and touched him even more slowly than that.

"They're fine. If there's no food there are always mice," he said. The state of the pets was the last thing on his mind.

Logan laughed a little, rolling onto his side to look at Jack.

"I really hope you know that when we have a baby we'll have to get up and feed it, rather than just, you know, letting it live off the land," he snorted.

Jack smirked a little, traced the line of Logan's jaw, and kissed him again.

"I know that," he replied, then his smirk grew. "Like a baby can carry a rifle..."

Logan laughed, pushing Jack onto his back and settling in on top of him.

"You say shit like that, and I really worry, man."

"You shouldn't worry," he promised softly, wrapping his arms around Logan's hips. "You know I'm going to do my best. I'm...working hard at being a better husband. By the time the baby gets here I think I'll be prepared to be a good dad."

He was nervous, though. Jack didn't like to fail at anything and this was something he wasn't sure he was qualified to do.

"I know," Logan assured him. "I'm just teasing you, man.

He stroked Jack's chest and sighed. "We really do need to lock the guns and shit up though."

"I was thinking I'd just take most of them to the IPD and have them put in the community pool. Just keep ours for hunting," he said. It was funny, a little, how he'd been so intent on getting Logan into bed and now that they were here all they did was talk about the future. About the baby. The funniest part, if he'd thought about it, was that it felt completely natural and right.

"Seriously, you'd give them away?" Logan asked, looking surprised. "You're not worried we might have a zombie attack or something?"

Though really, with the baby coming, he was kind of okay with there being less guns around. He'd already planned on moving his own to the shed.

"I worry about stuff like that all the time. But..."

He shrugged.

"The island has the ITF. I'm just worried about us."

And Joe and Dale and Anne and Matthew and...well, family.

"Yeah, me too," Logan replied softly, moving to lay beside Jack again and settling in.

Silently, he slipped his arm around Jack.

Jack stayed put and looked at the ceiling. The weight of Logan's arm was comfortable and reassuring for some reason he didn't put a lot of thought into.

"We should think of names," he said after a long moment. Being naked and close was intimate and perfect. It was something Jack decided they should do much more often.

"Yeah? Yeah, I guess we should."

He looked thoughtful for a long moment, and wet his lips. "I always thought if I had a daughter, I'd probably name her after my mom," he admitted. "I mean, we don't have to or whatever, it's just something I used to think about sometimes."

He turned his head to face Logan and smiled softly. "Lynn. That's pretty," he said. "I always thought if I had a daughter Sixxithasca'issha was a lovely name."

Logan wasn't sure he could even pronounce that, and his brow creased slightly.

"Maybe we should stick to things we can both spell."

"I can spell Lynn. What about boys?" he asked as he reached over to smooth that line from Logan's brow.

"It should go with our last names," Logan mused, leaning into the touch.

"William Echolls-Harkness, Ryan Echollls-Harkness... I dunno."

Jack's mind went to Franklin and then Gray, but he couldn't bring himself to picture what it would be like to have a son whose very name was a daily reminder of life on Boeshane.

"I don't like those," he admitted. "What about something classic like Alexander or powerful. Like...Khan."

Had it been anyone but Jack, Logan would have assumed that 'Khan' was a bad joke. He'd learned, however, that Jack's knowledge of modern Earth pop culture was really limited, and these days he knew better than to laugh- most of the time.

"Yeah, no," he snorted. "I don't need people impersonating Captain Kirk every time they say hi to our kid. Khan so isn't happening. Alexander is okay, but I don't love it..."

He paused and then smiled. "What about Joe, or Joseph?"

Joe was...Joe. He couldn't help but picture a baby with a dark mohawk and tattoos wearing something with an abstract A on it. But Joseph-

"I like Joseph. Joseph Echolls-Harkness. I like that a lot."

"Does kind of have a nice ring to it," Logan smiled. "Who knows though, right? We might take one look at the kid and just know right away that he isn't a Joseph, or she isn't a Lynn. Maybe we'll see him or her and be like, she's totally a Sarah or he's definitely a Richard."

"Richard? I don't think I can handle a kid nicknamed Dick," Jack said with a slow shake of his head. "Nothing penis related. Did I ever tell you that I knew a man who was named John Thomas? I almost couldn't look at him because I couldn't keep from laughing."

"That's 'cause you're a sex craving perv," Logan teased with a barely hidden smirk. "But fine, no penis related names. Guess that rules out Schlong Johnson Echolls-Harkness..."

"That's the worst name I've ever heard," he laughed, rolling half onto Logan so he could kiss him again.

"So...why not Logan junior?" he asked softly.
