Logan didn't do bars, not often any way. Too many people, too much going on... too many girls sniffing for money rather than love. Usually he hated it, but tonight...

Tonight he just needed to get out, to have a few drinks and enjoy the city of LA for what it was. Mindless, soulless, and empty. Really, the more he dwelled on it the more Logan was sure those were exactly the sort of qualities he'd been looking for in home, and he grinned as he polished off his drink and left enough cash on the bar for tip and his tab.

Ignoring the many writhing and twisting bodies on the dance floor, Logan made his way to the exit, ready to head home for the night. Passing the pool table, he pushed open the door and stepped into the night. The streets were busy, but he didn't mind, he'd cut through the alleyway and take a shortcut home.

The lamp light flickered as he stepped into the darkened ally, blinking out just as he headed into the shadows. It was alright though, he wasn't scared, he wasn't some sweet sixteen princess with her virtue to worry about... Logan was tough. He was eighteen now, and he had no fear.

"Can we then? I mean... just us. Just for fun?" Logan asked with a grin.

"You wanna go out and get something or do you just wanna drink until there's nothing left?" Joe asked, grinning in return.

"Let's... get something," Logan said with a casual smirk.

Joe took a sip of his beer and then nodded at the door. "Let's go then," he said, getting to his feet.

"Seriously, you're, like, gonna take me to go get high? And you aren't mad about the thing outside the club? You going soft on me man?" Logan teased.

"There's shit worth getting worked up about and then there's just shit," Joe replied with a smirk. "Are you coming or not?"

"Of course I'm coming," Logan laughed, what else am I gonna do?" he asked, following.

"Hang out here?" Joe asked, lifting an eyebrow in amusement as he headed for the door, opening it and stepping out into the hall.

"Yeah, that sounds thrilling," Logan laughed, holding lightly onto Joe's arm as they walked.

"Never know what pushes your buttons," Joe pointed out, heading down toward the elevator. He was cautious, but not noticeably so, just looking out.

"Trust me, the things that push my buttons are way more exciting," Logan laughed.

"That's what you say now..." Joe replied with a smirk, stepping into the elevator and giving Logan a grin that bordered on a leer.

"What does that even mean?" Logan asked with a laugh. "Seriously, what do you mean 'that's what you say now'?"

"It means 'that's what you say now'. You might not say it two days from now," Joe answered. "Means exactly what it sounds like."

"You think you're kinkier than me?" Logan asked, quirking a brow.

"That's not what I said at all," Joe answered with a laugh. "You sure got a talent for reading into things and turning every word into an insult."

"I wasn't insulted so much as feeling challenged," Logan replied. "I'm just curious as to what it is about you I'm supposed to be so impressed by. How are you going to push my buttons, Joe?"

"I never said you should be impressed," Joe answered, still looking more amused than anything. "You don't wanna be impressed, I don't really give a fuck."

"Yeah you do," Logan grinned. "You like me. That's why you're here and not off hunting on your own. That's why you didn't let me get hurt too bad, even when I asked you to hurt me. You like me, Joe Dick. You want me to be impressed."

"Well, you sound impressed already," Joe said dryly, then stepped out of the elevator when the doors slid open, heading for the front door.

"Yeah, well, I'm not," Logan insisted, even as he followed Joe.

"Okay," Joe said simply, heading outside and then glancing around before he decided to go left. Nothing drove that decision, he just figured he'd have the same kind of luck no matter which way he turned. All he was gonna do was kill the first dealer he found anyway.

Logan followed quickly, wondering if Joe knew where they were going or not. He stuck close by his side, eying all the people they passed, as if somehow he could spot the dealer.

"You see anyone?" Joe asked as they walked, his hands pushed into his pockets. They'd probably have to walk for a bit, find a dirtier area or somewhere quiet.

"Not yet," Logan replied, shaking his head and looking around a little more.
