Logan didn't do bars, not often any way. Too many people, too much going on... too many girls sniffing for money rather than love. Usually he hated it, but tonight...

Tonight he just needed to get out, to have a few drinks and enjoy the city of LA for what it was. Mindless, soulless, and empty. Really, the more he dwelled on it the more Logan was sure those were exactly the sort of qualities he'd been looking for in home, and he grinned as he polished off his drink and left enough cash on the bar for tip and his tab.

Ignoring the many writhing and twisting bodies on the dance floor, Logan made his way to the exit, ready to head home for the night. Passing the pool table, he pushed open the door and stepped into the night. The streets were busy, but he didn't mind, he'd cut through the alleyway and take a shortcut home.

The lamp light flickered as he stepped into the darkened ally, blinking out just as he headed into the shadows. It was alright though, he wasn't scared, he wasn't some sweet sixteen princess with her virtue to worry about... Logan was tough. He was eighteen now, and he had no fear.

"Like I'm scared," Logan growled, looking annoyed when Joe dragged him along.

Just to prove it, he took a swing at the older man, just daring him to fight back.

The other vampires looked interested at that and they stopped talking amongst themselves, wandering toward where Logan and Joe were.

Joe grabbed Logan's arm, his hand squeezing his fist hard. "Don't fucking start this, they'll kill us both just for the fucking joy of it," he growled.

Logan hissed a little in pain and glared. "Kiss me, here, in front of them, and maybe I'll behave," he replied.

Joe glared at Logan, his jaw set hard, but he grabbed Logan by his hair and yanked him forward, kissing him hard and roughly.

Logan returned the kiss with a grin, and then pulled back slowly. "Now we can go, he smirked, tugging Joe's arm and starting to run.

"You're a fucker," Joe snapped, but then he was running as well, not looking back, still furious. He was going to have a rough time going back there in the future and he knew it.

Logan didn't stop until they were back outside the hotel, laughing obnoxiously and flashing Joe a nasty grin. "Whatever, fuck those guys. I knew you'd kiss me. Fag."

"You're gonna get yourself killed on your own," Joe predicted, wondering how long it would take. A year. Ten. It would happen, he figured.

"Yeah, I'm really worried," Logan replied, rolling his eyes and heading inside.

"Not yet," Joe grumbled in annoyance, but he followed Logan anyway, trailing behind him with his hands shoved into his pockets.

Once they were on the right floor, Logan unlocked the door to his hotel room and let Joe in. "I feel... invincible. Like nothing can hurt me. I wasn't afraid of those assholes, you know? I could take on anyone. Fucking anyone, Joe."

That would fade, but Joe would let him have it now. He remembered what that felt like, how fucking good it was, and so he nodded and offered a faint grin. "It's a good feeling," he agreed.

"That's it? Here I was thinking you were going to be a pissy little bitch. I mean, pissier than you were out there..." Logan smirked.

"You're gonna learn eventually that you're not invincible. You'll figure it out. Why the fuck would I take it away from you now?" Joe asked simply.

"Cause you're a bastard?" Logan replied, giving the other man a look. "It's probably the only thing about you I like."

"Uh-huh," Joe answered, returning the look with faint amusement. "Maybe I feel like being nice this once. Deal with it."

"Whatever," Logan replied, looking bored again and heading over to the kitchen for a beer. "So that Marc guy, what is that all about?"

"What do you mean?" Joe asked, flopping down into a chair. "He's a guy I've known for a long fucking time now. Met him not longer after I came here, he's a jealous fuck." A lot like Logan could be sometimes.

"I mean... what's he to you? I mean, you've obviously fucked him..." Logan said.

"Yeah, not in a couple years, though," Joe answered with a shrug. "We were friends and then we fucked and then we went back to be friends."

"But he wants to fuck you again," Logan said knowingly. "He wants you."

"Probably, he's asked to fuck me in the past couple months. Tried to, anyway," Joe answered, giving another unconcerned shrug.

"I don't like him," Logan said. "I really don't like him."

"Yeah, he's a fucking dick," Joe agreed, but Marc had always been that way. It was nothing new. "He probably didn't like you much either."

"Good," Logan repled. "I really hope he didn't."
