"I just love you," he shrugged. Jack grabbed a book and climbed into bed, stretching out next to Logan.

"I never in my wildest dreams thought this could happen to me," he began, reading from a book he'd picked up months ago. It was well read and was one of Jack's favorites.

Logan leaned lightly against the other man, closing his eyes and enjoying the rich sound of Jack's voice as he read.

His hand moved to rest On Jack's thigh, possessive and loving all at once.

"Where was I?"

Reaching over, Logan plucked the book from Jack's hands and tossed it aside.

"Enough reading," he purred, dragging Jack into a serious kiss.

He gave up a muffled gasp before returning the kiss in earnest. Jack pushed his hands up beneath Logan's shirt and rolled him so he was down on the bed. He loved feeling his husband pliant beneath him.

"You want something?" he asked, feigning innocence.

"You. It's always you," he purred. "That's all I want."

There were times when Logan said something or did something, or sometimes it was just the way he looked at Jack...it was so romantic that it made his heart hurt.

"I love you," he replied, knowing it was pale in comparison. He wished he could be more romantic with Logan, but he was just so practical. He spoiled Logan rather than give him sweet words and sometimes he wondered if Logan needed more from him.

"I love you too," Logan murmured. "Lay down with me. I want to lay with you. I want to touch you."

Jack didn't even ask, he just stripped off his shirt and pulled Logan's up as high as he could get it. He laid close, skin against skin, and he nuzzled Logan's jaw.

"I love you like this," he told Logan again. "You're so...soft."

Logan struggled to get his shirt off the rest of the way and curled up closer.

"I'm not soft," he assured Jack, rutting up against him.

"Mmm, I see that," he grinned, reaching down to cup Logan's crotch as the younger man moved. He stroked him firmly while leaning in to kiss his neck.

"You smell like smoke. No fair you didn't share."

"You're no fun high," Logan protested, nipping at Jack's neck as he held on tighter. "I'm fun high. I am, right? Tell me I am."

"You are very fun. Why aren't I? Because I get lazy?" he asked, nipping his way along Logan's neck and nibbling on his ear as his fingers got to work on the man's fly.

"You're always sad when you get high," Logan replied honestly, letting out a gasp. "When you smoke, I feel like you aren't happy."

Jack pulled away and looked down at Logan. His brows drew together and he frowned a little.

"I'm sorry," he said quietly. "Even when I'm high, you make me happy."

"you don't have to be sorry," Logan replied. "You can feel however you want, you know? I just want you to be happy."

"M'happy right now," Jack replied. "I like when you get high. You're...sweet. You're so...I don't even know. You're easy." He said it with a teasing smirk and then moved fast to trail kisses along Logan's chest.

"You calling me easy?" Logan laughed, squirming on the bed. "Baby, I'm always easy for you."

"I know you are," Jack chuckled. He caught Logan's nipple between his lips and then trailed his hand down to open Logan's fly and push his hand inside. He could molest Logan' like this for hours, just kissing and touching and winding him up like this. Sometimes, just sometimes, Jack could be patient.

Logan's fingers raked over Jack's shoulders, and then moved higher to tangle in his hair.

"You have the best hands," he gasped. "Best mouth..."

Jack hummed softly and tracked kisses in lazy trails over Logan's body. He loved how he tasted and how he felt. He worked lower until the waist of Logan's pants was a hinderance and then he backed away.
