NYE post midnight

He practically dragged Jack away from the party, holding his hand tightly and grinning as he lead the way outside and into the snow.

"I'm sorry I'm so bad at parties," he said as they walked. "I've been trying though. I was really trying hard tonight."

Logan knew it wasn't a surrender, but he couldn't help but take advantage. Letting go of one of Jack's legs, he cupped his hand over the other man's mouth and hushed him.

"I got it, baby, I've got you. I always do," he said, biting his lip before he started thrusting harder and faster, letting his hand occasionally cover Jack's nose as well, only to move and let him breathe again a moment later. Over and over in a way that couldn't be accidental.

[identity profile] captainjack.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
Jack struggled to breathe, fighting against it until Logan would let him gasp for air. He didn't really try to fight the man off, though. The breath control coupled with the steady, rhythmic slide drove him completely out of his damned mind.

"Please," he gasped once, losing precious air to do so. That was all...just one word before he practically melted beneath Logan.

[identity profile] echolls-cursed.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
"Stroke yourself. Don't care if you come, just want to see it be-ah... 'for I come," he groaned.

Though he never got his wish, his hand plastered over Jack's nose and mouth as he spilled deep inside his husband, letting out a throaty groan as he came and his hand slipped away from Jack's face, leaving the other man to breathe freely again.

[identity profile] captainjack.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
He was gulping air, trying to clear his head of the dizziness. It had been perfect, better than he'd hoped for. He hooked an arm and a leg around Logan and pulled him down. His cock was nearly hard and was noticable, trapped between them.

"That was so good," he said, praising Logan with his word as well as his touch. "For that...for that, you can sleep in bed with me. With me, not at the foot. Not like a pet."

[identity profile] echolls-cursed.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
"Damn right," Logan replied breathlessly, squirming a little and then settling into place. His place. His spot.

Wrapping his arm tightly around Jack's middle, he yawned quietly.

"Mmm, 'mnot a pet."

[identity profile] captainjack.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
"No. You're really not," Jack agreed before kissing him and settling into the bed. It was a fantastic bed and he was going to miss it. He was going to miss this whole place.

"Go to sleep," he said softly. "No more tonight."

[identity profile] echolls-cursed.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
Sleep took him quickly, and Logan fell asleep to the sound of Jack's heartbeat.

His dreams were vivid that night. Vivid and good. Warm and comforting. They were filled with Jack.

He stirred a little now and then, wiggling around and then settling back in, never waking but never completely still.

[identity profile] captainjack.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
Every time Logan squirmed, Jack woke up. Not completely, just enough to keep him onthe edge of sleep. Byt the time the sun came up, though, he was sound asleep. Not even Logan's movement could wake him up.

It was dangerous to sleep so deeply and he never really had before Logan. It was comforting and upsetting at the same time, when he bothered to think about it. Logan had told him he didn't want to change, but Jack had changed in a hundred ways that he couldn't begin to name. Sleeping so well in his husband's arms was just one of the many.

[identity profile] echolls-cursed.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
Twisting, Logan woke up with a soft gasp. Even when he woke by himself, he was rarely cheerful in the morning, and he made an annoyed sound as his eyes opened slightly and the light stirred him even more.

Agitated, he pulled the covers over his head.

Jack was hardly aware that the covers had come up. Or wasn't, until the edge tickled his lips and he turned his head. It was enough to take him from dead asleep to fully awake. The change was accompanied by a gasp and an involuntary jerk at the shock of his surroundings. It took a second to remember where he even was.

But then the comforting weight of Logan fixed him and gave him his bearings and he closed his eyes again. It was a lzy gesture he rarely indulged in. And it was kind of nice to just lay there and hold Logan.

[identity profile] echolls-cursed.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
Slowly giving into consciousness, Logan let the covers slip away and opened his eyes.

Jack looked so calm and still, completely relaxed and at ease. There had been a time where Jack hardly slept at all when they were together, but now... Now Logan knew he was trusted.

Now Logan knew it was his job to make sure nothing happened to the Captain while he slept.

"Are you awake?" he asked quietly. "Jack... You awake?"

[identity profile] captainjack.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm awake," he said without opening his eyes or moving at all. "I've been awake for a few minutes. How did you sleep?"

[identity profile] echolls-cursed.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
"Good," Logan replied honestly, pressing a kiss to Jack's nose. "How about you?"

[identity profile] captainjack.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Hard...once you quit wriggling around," he smiled. "Dreams?"

[identity profile] echolls-cursed.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
"Good ones," logan replied with a yawn, stretching lazily and rolling away so he could spread out a little.

"You were in them. You almost always are."

Even his nightmares occasionally featured Jack.

[identity profile] captainjack.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
"Good ones? Tell me," Jack replied, rolling onto his side to face Logan. He propped his head up on his hand. He never pried into Logan's nightmares, but good dreams...that was a temptation he couldn't pass up.

[identity profile] echolls-cursed.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
"No," Logan replied with a yawn. "You can't hear about any more of my dreams until the day you have a new one to share with me. A good one. One with me in it. I'm always sharing."

[identity profile] captainjack.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
That made him quiet. He thought about that for a minute, then he nodded.

"Fair enough," he said finally. "If I ever have a new one that's good, I'll tell you."

[identity profile] echolls-cursed.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
"You promise?" Logan asked. "I liked the last one you told me. It was weird... but good. I liked the way you looked when you talked about it. It was hot."

[identity profile] captainjack.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
"Of course I promise," Jack smiled. "I...just don't have good dreams very often. But the next time I do, you'll know."

[identity profile] echolls-cursed.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
"What kind of dreams do you have?" Logan asked softly, content to lay beside his husband, talking.

He rolled onto his side and brushed a hand over Jack's stomach.

[identity profile] captainjack.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
"When I dream at all, they're usually bad. The day I died. Or the day I lost Gray. I dream that everyone here vanishes but me. Nothing good. Nothing I ever want to think about when I wake up," Jack admitted.

[identity profile] echolls-cursed.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
"You will never be alone here. The island couldn't drag me away from you if it tried," Logan said, his voice a bit rough, as if he was hurting just hearing the other man say it.

"Will you tell me about the day you died?" he asked softly. "I know you told me some of it before, but I want to know. I want to know what happened."

And it was unfair, he knew it was unfair to ask for Jack to dig up such a painful memory, but he wanted to hear it. Even if he knew it would only upset them both.

[identity profile] captainjack.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
That day...he remembered every second of that day, and not just because it was on film.

"I knew I was going to die, no matter what. The Doctor was making a Delta wave and if it had worked, I'd have been barbecued, along with all the Daleks, everyone on the satellite, and pretty much everyone on the Earth.

But we had to fight. I did, anyway. There was no way I was going down without a fight. I told Rose and the Doctor goodbye and then I got to work.

We set up points to defend, but the Daleks kept coming and we kept falling back. The few people we had kept getting picked off, one by one, until there was just me. I kept fighting, though. I kept fighting until I ran out of ammo and I had my back to a wall. But I knew I was going to die...so it was okay. Fighting for something good? It was a good reason to go. It was the first time in my life I'd ever had something worth fighting for that was completely...selfless."

Jack paused and looked down, staring at a point on Logan's chest.

"But I was scared. I was really scared."

[identity profile] echolls-cursed.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
It hurt, hearing jack say it hurt, and his face crumpled as he leaned over and pressed a kiss to the other man's forehead.

He closed his eyes as his lips touched skin, emotions rushing through him. Jack had died. He'd died, and while Logan was aware of the fact that it hadn't stuck, that his husband would come back again and again in his future off the island, it still hurt. It hurt to think of a world without Jack.

"Love you, and... You are so brave. I couldn't have done that. I couldn't have fought like that. You- You are amazing. ...I'm sorry though, that you died, that you were scared, that you had to do that."
