Vampire AU Prequel

Logan didn't do bars, not often any way. Too many people, too much going on... too many girls sniffing for money rather than love. Usually he hated it, but tonight...

Tonight he just needed to get out, to have a few drinks and enjoy the city of LA for what it was. Mindless, soulless, and empty. Really, the more he dwelled on it the more Logan was sure those were exactly the sort of qualities he'd been looking for in home, and he grinned as he polished off his drink and left enough cash on the bar for tip and his tab.

Ignoring the many writhing and twisting bodies on the dance floor, Logan made his way to the exit, ready to head home for the night. Passing the pool table, he pushed open the door and stepped into the night. The streets were busy, but he didn't mind, he'd cut through the alleyway and take a shortcut home.

The lamp light flickered as he stepped into the darkened ally, blinking out just as he headed into the shadows. It was alright though, he wasn't scared, he wasn't some sweet sixteen princess with her virtue to worry about... Logan was tough. He was eighteen now, and he had no fear.

Pulling back, Logan licked his lips as he thrust one last time, coming hard deep inside Joe. He groaned loudly, not caring who heard, and panted a little as he slumped against Joe's back with a wicked grin.

For awhile Joe just remained where he was, plastered to the wall, panting quietly. He'd never gotten out of the habit of breathing and although he didn't need it, it was familiar to have to gasp for air.

Moaning a bit, Logan slipped free and tucked himself away again, looking smug as he took a step back and looked Joe over.

"Fuck," Joe murmured, then reached down and tugged his pants up again as he turned around. Tucking himself back into his jeans, he pulled up the zipper and looked at Logan with a faintly amused expression. "You look pretty pleased with yourself."

"Probably because I am," Logan shrugged simply, starting to walk even though he had no idea where he was going.

"Guess you got a reason to be," Joe agreed with a smirk, wandering around behind Logan. "Where're you headed now? Got somewhere you can go?"

"Dunno," Logan admitted. "I have a room at a hotel nearby. Penthouse suite."

"I'm still hungry," Joe replied, as if that was some kind of answer to what Logan was telling him. "Want another?"

"I guess," Logan shrugged. "I'm not really that hungry though..."

"Then you can watch," Joe replied with a smirk. "Or we can share." Which he sure as hell didn't mind. He'd always kind of liked it, to be honest.

"Okay," Logan nodded. "You pick this time."

"Okay," Joe agreed, smirking over at Logan as he led him out of the alley, then turned left down the street. "C'mon, there's always some good ones in the park."

Logan nodded and followed Joe without question. It was strange how easily he was led by Joe.

"You feel better, eh?" Joe asked. "After eating and fucking?" He always seemed to feel better, especially after eating, but the sex sure as hell didn't hurt.

Logan nodded. "Yeah. I feel... stronger," he said, glancing over at Joe. "Stronger than before."

"It gets better," Joe replied with a small smile. "Every time, it gets better until you're as strong as you can get."

"Yeah?" Logan asked, looking interested. "Like you?"

"Not for awhile yet, but yeah, like me," Joe agreed. He had at least a couple decades on Logan, but it didn't take long to get strong.

"How long have you been like this?" Logan asked curiously. "When were you turned?"

"I got turned about... twenty-five years ago," Joe said after thinking about it for awhile. "Not as old as I could be, man, but old enough."

"Who was it?" Logan asked. "I mean, who turned you?"

"Just a guy," Joe replied, shrugging a bit as he crossed the street. "This guy I met when I was sixteen, he did it." Joe had trusted him, loved him, and he'd turned him.

"Why aren't you with him now?" Logan asked. "I mean, if you felt like I feel, you can't have wanted to leave him."

Joe cast Logan a curious glance at that, but he just shrugged again. "He died." He'd been dying to begin with, in the end, but Joe hadn't known that. "He got turned to escape his moral fucking death and then got staked."

"Who did it?" Logan asked, not caring that he was being nosy.
