NYE post midnight
He practically dragged Jack away from the party, holding his hand tightly and grinning as he lead the way outside and into the snow.
"I'm sorry I'm so bad at parties," he said as they walked. "I've been trying though. I was really trying hard tonight."

"At least this has a happy ending," he said softly, rolling toward him to give him a soft kiss. "It's about time we got a happily ever after, right? I think we've both earned it."

"...Do you want to eat? I'm starving," he said suddenly. Though it wasn't a change of subject, at least not to Logan. The memory of being locked in the closet reminded him of how hungry he'd been that night. Sent to bed without dinner, and then punished again when he'd tried to sneak down for some left overs.
There were always left overs at the Echolls' house. Little pastries and appetizers from parties, or side dishes from dinners cooked by strangers who seemed to pass through their home like ghosts without names.
"I want something sweet," he added softly.

"Come on. Get up. I need to go pee anyway."

Downstairs, he stoked the fire and got food together. Putting a plate together, he set a place at the small table for Logan before he bothered to get himself anything. It was a small thing, and not as obvious as actually feeding the man, but it was all part of taking care of him just the same.

Logan noticed the set place at the table, and he looked at it curiously before looking over at Jack.

He picked up his first bite and chewed it thoughtfully. "These are so good. Wow."

"Do you want to go home today? We can stay another night...Scotty said he'd take care of everything so there's no rush. But if you're, you know, sick of this..."

"I want to stay," he said. "If you'll give me another chance, I'll take better care of you today."

Jack smiled again and looked down at his food, picking at it a little.
"I know how you are and if you're just mouthy, I'll punish you. I'll take you over my knee and make you hurt."

Meeting Jack's eyes with his own, he wet his lips. "You'll be worn out by noon," he warned, giving his husband a chance to take it back.

Swallowing the last bite, he licked the icing from his bottom lip and the tips of his fingers as he nodded.
"Alright," he agreed.
no subject
"Okay," he agreed. "Then finish up. I'm going to try to heat up enough water...I want to wash you all over."
With that, he left what remained of his breakfast on the table and went to the fire. There was a large pot and water in pails. He set it up so the water would get hot and then looked for a rag. Without a shower, it was the net best thing. And Jack wasn't ashamed to admit that he liked washing Logan. It gave him a chance to touch him in a unique and pleasant way.

Stripping slowly out of his clothes, he made his way towards the fire.
"Can I wash you as well?" he asked, suddenly itching to touch the other man any way he could.

Jack circled him and looked him over, drinking in the sight of Logan's naked body. He was gorgeous and Jack ran dry hands over him before he bothered to put the rag in the water so he could start washing Logan down. He began at his throat and moved slowly. Methodically. There wasn't an inch of skin he missed, though he left the man's face and hair dry.

"Water's not that hot," he complained softly, though that didn't stop him from moving a little closer so Jack could reach more skin.
no subject
"I'll be quick," he promised.
