Pushing himself to his feet, Logan stepped towards Neil instantly, not wanting the other boy to get hurt. "Just go, okay?" he said quietly, trying to will Neil out the door. "Go stay with Joe, alright? I'm handling this."

Aaron simply relaxed into a practiced and casual pose, smiling as he stepped up beside Logan and draped an arm over his shoulder in some sort of fucked-up pantomime of a loving father.

"You aren't going to introduce me to your boyfriend?" he asked, his hand coming to rest on the back of Logan's neck as he gave him a rough squeeze.
