Vampire AU Prequel

Logan didn't do bars, not often any way. Too many people, too much going on... too many girls sniffing for money rather than love. Usually he hated it, but tonight...

Tonight he just needed to get out, to have a few drinks and enjoy the city of LA for what it was. Mindless, soulless, and empty. Really, the more he dwelled on it the more Logan was sure those were exactly the sort of qualities he'd been looking for in home, and he grinned as he polished off his drink and left enough cash on the bar for tip and his tab.

Ignoring the many writhing and twisting bodies on the dance floor, Logan made his way to the exit, ready to head home for the night. Passing the pool table, he pushed open the door and stepped into the night. The streets were busy, but he didn't mind, he'd cut through the alleyway and take a shortcut home.

The lamp light flickered as he stepped into the darkened ally, blinking out just as he headed into the shadows. It was alright though, he wasn't scared, he wasn't some sweet sixteen princess with her virtue to worry about... Logan was tough. He was eighteen now, and he had no fear.

"That's me giving you a choice," Logan smirked. "You can follow me if you want... but take your time. I'm not going anywhere," he added, wanting to give Joe a chance to explore.

He peeled the shirt Joe had loned him off as he walked, heading into the bedroom and leaving the door open as he san down onto the bed and stretched.

He really was tired, and as he turned onto his side he could already feel sleep coming for him. Still, he couldn't help but hope Joe would come find him anyway, even if it was just to lay beside him.

Joe watched Logan for a moment, then turned and began to look around, opening cupboards and doors, peering at things curiously. He visited the bathroom briefly, looking around, lifting things and then putting them back down.

Then, maybe ten minutes after Logan had disappeared into the bedroom, he followed him inside.

Logan was only just starting to drift off when he felt Joe enter the room. He'd stripped down to nothing, the blankets tucked around himself childishly as he cracked one eye open and shuffled over to make room for Joe to come lay with him.

Tugging off his shirt and then kicking off his boots and tugging down his jeans, Joe crawled onto the bed beside Logan. He pushed down the sheets and crawled under them, curling beside Logan.

Trailing his fingers down Joe's chest, Logan shifted a little closer. It wasn't sexual, at least it wasn't meant to be. They were just soft scattered touches.

Joe's eyes closed and he shifted toward Logan, resting against him comfortably. The bed was good and he was exhausted, and, he likely wouldn't admit this, but it was nice to be sleeping beside someone.

nuzzling against the older man's shoulder, Logan wrapped an arm around Joe's waist as he let sleep take him. Their legs brushed lightly under the covers, and he let out a soft content sounding sigh.

"Comfortable," Joe said and it wasn't quite a question or a statement. It was both and neither at the same time and he was comfortable. That was really all that mattered.
