Logan's head had stopped pounding less then a day after the accident. He'd taken a hard hit, but he was alright, and other then a small cut and a bruise that was turning a pleasant shade of purple, Logan wasn't looking much worse the wear. He was sleeping a lot though, more then usual even, but he wasn't sure he could blame the bump for that. No, sometimes Logan just didn't like getting out of bed.

For the last hour or so though, he hadn't really been sleeping, just sort of drifting in and out. One minute he was awake and almost ready to get up, and the next he'd roll onto his side and find that perfectly warm spot on the bed... the one that made it all too easily to let his eyes drift shut again. Neil was out, probably walking Max, so there was no one nagging him, no one to tell him to stop being lazy and to go eat something. It was nice, and Logan planned on enjoying it just a little longer.

He'd found that spot again, and he was just about to settle back in for at least another ten minutes of lazing about... when someone said his name.

No, not just someone.

Logan would have recognized that voice anywhere, anytime. He new what it sounded like on film and on the phone, and he knew what it sounded like when the older man was there. Logan knew Aaron Echoll's voice better then anyone else's.

Eyes snapping open, Logan sat up almost instantly, his body tense as he listened. Maybe he'd imagined it... maybe it had been a dream,

But no, there it was again.

"Logan?"

Getting to his feet, Logan slowly walked to the door, peering around it with a worried look. His chest was tight and he was pretty sure he was sweating, but he made sure not to let anything show on his face as he headed outside and looked around. Making his way around to the back of the hut, he could feel his heart pounding in his chest. "Dad?" he said quietly, unsure and uneasy.

And there he was, Aaron Echolls, not a foot away. He had that look on his face, angry and pinched so tight the the lines in his face seemed deeper then usual. He took a step closer and Logan instantly took a step back, right onto someone's foot.

"I think I'm losing my mind Joe," Logan said frankly. "I just... I'm seeing things and hearing things and... that can't be okay."

"Yeah, but think about where we live," Joe pointed out, because it was always easier to blame the island. "This place is fucked. It does things."

"You're not seeing things," Logan pointed out. "Neil isn't seeing things..."

"Not yet," Joe agreed. "But I might go home to see Bucky or Ed sitting on my bed. I don't fucking know what's going on, man."

Logan nodded and pulled a bit of a face at that. "Whatever, I just hope it stops," he muttered softly.

It was honestly freaking him out, the sight of Aaron Echolls' face sending shivers down his spine and making his heart pound.

"Yeah," Joe agreed, nodding, because it was pretty fucking weird. And it obviously bothered Logan.

"You want to go someplace else?" Logan asked. "Like the waterfall or something? I don't really want to be in here."

"Yeah, sure," Joe agreed, grabbing another banana before he pushed off the counter and headed toward the door.

Logan was quick to follow, but he didn't say anything just then. He was content just to get out of there and away from whatever was going on.

Ducking back outside, Joe held the door open for Logan and then began to peel his banana again before he nodded in the direction of the Hamlet. "Little waterfall or big one?" He hadn't been back to the small one since finding King there and telling him about Billy.

"Big," Logan said instantly, not taking a moment to pause and think about it. He always wanted to go to the large waterfall, he wasn't sure why. Habit, probably.

"Okay," Joe agreed and turned in that direction. It was probably a little selfish, but he was almost glad that Logan needed him like this again. It made it easier to think of things other than how shitty he still felt.

Logan stayed close as they walked, his shoulder brushing against Joe's every now and then as they made their way down the beaten path. "How's things with Dale?" he asked after a long moment, looking over at the older man.

Joe shrugged at that, because there wasn't much to discuss in regards to Dale. Or there was too much and he didn't know where to start. "Fine," he said. "I found my gun again not too long ago and he went with me to get rid of it."

Logan tensed at that but didn't say anything. He just nodded and looked away.

"Neil tell you about it?" Joe asked, figuring he probably did. "I lost it during the hurricane and then when I was walking last week I found it in the jungle."

"No, he didn't," Logan said quietly. "I... It's gone though, right?"

"Yeah, it's gone. I threw it into the ocean, so hopefully it won't come back either," Joe told him, hoping that it put Logan at ease somehow.

"Good," Logan said simply, relaxing a little as he continued to walk alongside Joe.

"Besides, it's not like I even had any bullets for it," he continued. Although he'd sure as hell made Cutter think otherwise.

"I do," Logan said quietly. "I still have the bullets from my gun. Never gave them to Ray, so they're still in the hut in a box."

"But the gun's gone, right?" Joe asked, looking over at Logan. Not that he was one to talk, but at least he'd gotten rid of his gun.

"Unless Ray gives it back, yeah," Logan shrugged. "I haven't asked him for it yet."

Joe frowned at that, looking down at his feet as they walked and then finished his banana, tossing the peel aside.

"What?" Logan asked, noticing the look on Joe's face.
